What are the best free email marketing tools for small businesses?

I want a free reliable software that will basically automate my email marketing. I have this idea where i want the first 20-500 people who sign up their email to receive an exclusive offer but people that sign up after that number won't receive it. It just stops sending that email after the first 20-500. I'm only really planning to send 1-2 a month. I want to be able to create fun, colorful, interactive email where if you push a button out comes something. Is there a way i can do that? Any help would be great.

Why this matches: The content clearly expresses the user's need for help with email marketing, specifically regarding automation and sending offers to a limited group of recipients. The user outlines frustrations surrounding their ability to manage email marketing effectively and seeks solutions, which aligns well with the criteria of looking for help to grow their business and potentially experiencing issues with existing tactics.

Klaviyo’s Price Hike: Is Anyone Else Getting Hit Hard?

Is it just me, or does Klaviyo’s new pricing model feel like a gut punch for small businesses? 😤 They’re now charging for *total profiles,* not just active ones. So, if you’ve got 200,000 profiles but only email 100,000, you’re still paying for all of them. Oh, and there’s a 25% cap on the price hike… for now. For SMBs, every dollar matters. Isn’t email marketing supposed to deliver one of the best ROIs? This feels like a move that unfairly hits smaller businesses the hardest. Anyone else seeing their bill go up? Are you sticking with them or exploring other options? If you’ve switched ESPs, I’d love to hear your recommendations. How’s everyone handling this? Let’s talk.

Why this matches: The content discusses the negative impact of Klaviyo's price increase on small businesses, indicating a potential need for help with email marketing as these businesses may not be able to afford the increased costs. The call for engagement from others who are also affected suggests a desire for support and advice. Additionally, the phrasing indicates frustration with the current email marketing service, implying users may be exploring alternatives or seeking guidance, matching the criteria of users looking for help with email marketing.

There are way too many newsletter platforms - which one should I start with?

I've experimented with three newsletter platforms: **Mailchimp, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and beehiiv.** I initially chose Mailchimp three years ago because it offered a free plan that included automation. However, I never really liked the platform. It felt unintuitive and somewhat confusing (just my personal take). After that, I used Kit for several years. It’s incredibly user-friendly and offers features for content creators, like landing page creation, easy automation setup, and newsletter templates, to name a few. I was happy with it overall, but I was missing monetization options. I had no products to sell, and I wasn’t keen on spending hours chasing sponsorship deals. So, in January 2024, I switched to beehiiv. Now, a year in, I can say it’s been a great move. Even with a small email list of around 1,000 subscribers, I receive multiple sponsored ad opportunities each month. Just in January 2025 alone, I got over 10 ad requests (I wanted to attach a screenshot but couldn't find a way to do it). I turn down most of them since I can’t overload my newsletters with ads, but for creators focused on monetization, beehiiv seems like a solid choice. If interested, here's my [post](https://selfmademillennials.com/beehiiv-review/) about my experience with beehiiv. I hope this was helpful. :)

Choosing Instantly, so please talk me out of it

Hey, SMEs for cold email deliverability. After looking at Instantly, Lemlist, [Smartlead.ai](http://Smartlead.ai), SalesHandy, [Reply.io](http://Reply.io), and Manyreach. I think Instantly has the best value for money. Someone, please talk me out of it before I spend weeks optimizing an sub-optimal platform. Option two was Smartlead as they both seem to have the roughly the same costs. Instantly edged out Smartlead because of GPT analysis ranking: 1) deliverability, 2) customer Sat, and 3) Price.

Why this matches: The content discusses various email marketing platforms, comparing their value and specific features relevant to email deliverability. The author expresses a desire for advice on their choice (Instantly), indicating a need for guidance in their email marketing efforts. This aligns well with users looking for help with email marketing for business growth. Additionally, the mention of potential frustration or concern about spending time optimizing a platform suggests a level of technical support and a problem with achieving satisfying results, further matching the criteria.

Alternative to Hubspot for Sending to Large (Cold) Email Lists?

I have used Hubspot at my current company to send bulk emails to contact lists, which resulted in a LOT of new business over a few years. I am starting a marketing agency and want to do the same to promote my agency but if I want more than 10k sends a month I need a 3.5k plan through Hubspot, which I absolutely can't afford. Can someone suggest an alternative? In an ideal world it would have workflows like Hubspot, but the email marketing is the most important thing. I spoke to Activecampaign on the phone and they immediately lost interest in me when they figured out what I wanted to do. The best solution I have found so far is Instantly.ai? Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Why this matches: The content matches the criteria as it clearly expresses a user's need for help with email marketing for their new agency. The writer is looking for alternatives to Hubspot for sending bulk emails, indicating a desire to improve their outreach and grow their business. Additionally, the writer expresses frustration with existing options, such as feeling dismissed by Activecampaign, which aligns with users seeking technical support or expressing dissatisfaction with their current email marketing solutions.

For those who use Smartlead or these other tools

This is specifically for those who use Smartlead for their sequencing. TLDR: I would love to hear any problems you have or have had with smartlead that their FAQ doesn't have answers to! Long Version: I am making essentially a Email Sequencing Playbook on how I built my B2B marketing system and I want it to be as detailed but user friendly as possible. I'm going to have all the tools I use for leadgen, verification, list building, etc. and a ridiculous amount of info and such. Super detailed, a bunch of tool options to add to it, and tips both from their webinars and multiple marketing company's data insights from the past year. The plan is to show how to build an awesome B2B list for cold emails, how to set up your marketing system, setting up sequences, how to overcome bottlenecks, info on writing emails for B2B businesses, and all the whys. My hope is to put the whys at the bottom so people can read the plan easier in each phase and just scroll to the why page if they want to know how each thing does what it does. But I digress. In making a big playbook, I want real FAQ. Not just the stuff on the SmartLead site, but the real answers to things that a bunch of people end up having problems with and have to go down forum rabbit homes to find answers to. Real issues, real questions, and really simple info. So if you have had any Smartlead issues, I would love to know so I can find answers to them and include them! I also hope this Reddit thread can be a continued resource as people with questions find their answers. It may take me a few weeks as I make this, but I'll also answer questions as I find them.

Why this matches: The content is focused on users of Smartlead, specifically targeting those seeking help with email sequencing and overcoming issues with the tool. It invites users to share their problems, indicating a search for solutions and user input, which aligns well with the identified criteria of users looking for help with email marketing and technical support. Furthermore, the context of developing a detailed playbook emphasizes a proactive approach to improving B2B email marketing efforts, catering to those potentially frustrated with their current tactics.

Domain authentication… trust ESP or third party tool?

I’m trying to authenticate a domain. All is good, except my DMARC. Klaviyo is registering this as good, but when I run it through (2) third party domain testers it’s saying I need to improve some of my dmarc. What’s everyone’s opinion, trust Klaviyo or third party checker

Why this matches: The content indicates a user seeking help with domain authentication, particularly focused on DMARC, which is a technical aspect of email marketing. The mention of Klaviyo suggests the user is engaged in email marketing, and their inquiry about which resource to trust implies a need for support or guidance. This aligns with the criteria regarding seeking help with email marketing to grow a business and frustration with current tactics.

I need help RIGHT NOW with HUNTER.IO

So, I signed up for [Hunter.io](http://Hunter.io), a cold email-sending tool, and the issue is, when I click on its campaign manager, when I click to write something in the field where we have to add the body of the email, it just doesn't allow me to write. Basically, if I click in the area where I have to write the body content of the email, it just doesn't get any input. I cannot write there.
